Humanity, the race for answers (Resolutions sold seperately)

Humans are naturally curious creatures. If we see a plant growing, we ask ourselves why or a better question how it is growing because I am pretty sure the plant doesn't know why it is growing either. In reallity, it is just in the wrong place at the right time. The sun just happened to give it enegy, so the sun is really the criminal here. But back to my point, which I assume I had a sentence or two ago, is that humans need the answers to everything. If there is no obvious answer, we start to incorperate religious believes to help us cope with the fact that we don't have the answer to everything.

Science helps us understand more about our plant and what is around us. But fear is what makes us create these belief systems or go out and do stupid things. Like when everyone thought the world was going to end on January 1 2000. People were running to the stores to pick up anything that they thought would help them survive after the world was shut down. Just because a computer couldn't carry 4 digits a scare was released. We are a prisoner to our fears. That is why we have guns, homes and to a lesser extent a government. We must take a stand against our nature and start doing what is needed instead of concerning ourselves with what could happen. Our thoughts are always negative at first, but once our cowardice is out of the way humans could learn to work with each other not against, you would think over two thousand year would do it, but we still love seconds for our figurative second helping of hatred. As a new years resolution besides being 800 X 600, I would like everyone, the 2 to 4 of you, to try going against instinct and beat fear and self-pity in the face.

Alright now that that's out of the way I would like to continue with my resolutions.

1. Stop being such an idiot

I think the title says it all but for all you people who think I should work on my title making skills well this brief paragraph followed by 10 thinks I should try out new year is for you. Everyone else can leave for coffee break and meet me at the closing paragraph.

Alright, one think I really would like to do is stop worrying about the conciquences and just do it, so really my spokes person her is Nike, which in my opinion is a horrible spokesman for my blog. Either way, I put too much thought into what I want to do and get nothing done. Maybe it's just human nature that we all don't give a rats ass about anything, or maybe it is just me getting too comfortable doing nothing. I believe the corrent answer is the latter. I give excuses because I don't want to face what I should be up for the challenge for, I fear change in my life so I continue to eat the same stuff, believe in anything instead of searching for what is right and get less motivated everyday. So I must release myself of the shackles of normal everyday life and start to life the way I want to live it.

2. Loss weight

I know everyone usually has this on their to do list, but I really want to give this a try this year. I haven't been eating much like a ethusiastic vegetarian, I just ate what was easy to make, even when I had to time to cook a desent vegetarian meal. The rut of my everyday slack living may have given me a comfortable way to get by one day at a time, but I never variaty to help my body sustane it's self. I have been tired almost everyday of December even when I don't work I feel like shit, but that could be the junk food slowing my body down to an unhealthy state of living. So from now on I will change my diet to create a more suitable way of living, which means no more chocolate and less snacks of chips and popcorn for me. Also if I have time I will start running again to keep myself motivated.

And that is how I enslaved humanity in a simple 8 to 10 weeks...Oh I guess you missed my great story of world domination in one short paragraph, silly reader. Well, the time has come to wish all of you the best of luck in the new year. Please take the time to review your 2005 that has past, weep, especially for the deaths of Pope John Paul II, Johnny Carson, and Jack Keller, then move on to a new beginning of our future, for we at the ones who will change what the future is today, tomorrow.

Well well well Jonny, quite insightful... all of it. I'm glad to see you've gotten some resolutions down. Thing is, I haven't had a resolution is many many years and I finally got some. Even if I may not complete them all, the point is I tried.

I trust that you will stick to your guns on this one Jonny, especially the 'stop being an idiot' one. As that is probably a very universal resolution for us all.

Anyways Jonny, good job on the update. I quite enjoy this few and far between updates, as they usually have things to say to brighten my day and make me rhyme my life away. I hope to see more in the new year.
